Mike's SPOT on the WEB
Mike's SPOT on the WEB
While I am born German, I already live and work in Amsterdam NL since 1996; and I love this city....
I had to get used to a lot of stuff being German and NOT Dutch:
1.the perception in Germany is absolutely right:
these guys just can’t drive!
In Germany, a yellow number plate is already enough to cause all senses to be alerted;-)
which is one of the reason’s they always have traffic jams over here...
hopping from one lane to the other, fast, not taking care about others... that’s the way driving works here... and exactly this is the way of driving you would be killed for on the spot ....unfortunately in Germany only ;-)
2.it’s the only country I’ve visited so far where people are queuing up at a cash dispenser frequently
3.an incredible amount of bicycles is crowding the city, sometimes really dangerous for car drivers as bicycle drivers normally don’t follow any rules... I’ve even seen a biker with a suit, coat, and an umbrella while talking on his mobile...
Enough of this for now, you should find something more in my BLOG, enjoy your stay.
